Amitabh Bachchan: The Man Who Never Gave Up, Even When He Was Bankrupt
Aanjjan Srivastava, the veteran actor known for his role as Rajesh Wagle in the popular sitcom Wagle Ki Duniya, has revealed that Amitabh Bachchan was once bankrupt before he hosted the game show Kaun Banega Crorepati.
How Bachchan went bankrupt
Srivastava made the revelation in an interview with a leading news channel. He said that Bachchan had invested heavily in a film production company called ABCL, which went bankrupt in the early 2000s. This left Bachchan in a financial crisis, and he was forced to sell his assets to pay off his debts.
"I remember meeting Amitabh Bachchan at a party in the early 2000s," Srivastava said. "He was looking very stressed and worried. He told me that he had lost everything in the ABCL bankruptcy. He had to sell his house, his cars, and even his jewelry. He was in a very bad financial situation."
How Bachchan bounced back
Srivastava said that Bachchan was offered the role of host of Kaun Banega Crorepati as a way to help him get back on his feet financially. The show was a huge success, and it helped Bachchan to rebuild his career and his finances.
"Amitabh Bachchan is a very resilient man," Srivastava said. "He didn't give up when he went bankrupt. He worked hard and he came back stronger than ever. He is an inspiration to us all."
